Breath Test Operator School held in Pharr, Texas at the South Texas College Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence. Cost is $475.00. Please use the online registration form below to sign up for the class. This is the state certification school for the breath alcohol testing instrument and students will be trained on the Intoxilyzer 9000.
Meals are not included as a part of this registration.

Fondren Forensics Inc. offers a 20-hour State Approved Breath Test Operator School. This class is open to law enforcement across the state of Texas. In addition to receiving state certification as a breath test operator, students who successfully complete this course of instruction may be eligible to receive TCOLE credit.
This class is held at the Police Academy Facility at Tarrant County College NW Campus. Please register online using the link above. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain the required approval from their Technical Supervisor prior to attending class. You may contact us for information on how to obtain this letter.
All classes are conducted either Monday through Wednesday or Tuesday through Thursday. Please check the specific class and location to determine which three days your class is being offered. Tuition is $475.00 and is payable to Fondren Forensics. This includes all course materials, study guides, and operator manual. Your agency will be invoiced for this class. If you are paying on your own, this payment is due at time of registration. No-Shows or students dropping anytime on or after the Friday before the start of class will still be charged the full registration cost. By registering for this class, you are agreeing to pay the full cost of registration unless canceled before Friday of the week before class starts.
If for any reason enrollment is less than our minimum requirement, then the class will not be held and you will automatically be placed in the next available class.

Fondren Forensics utilizes instructors with different backgrounds, including chemists, police officers, private business owners, government employees, attorneys, investigators and technical supervisors. The information students receive in this class follows the guidelines set forth by the Texas Breath Alcohol Testing Regulations, in accordance with operating a school of initial instruction.
